We write registrations Monday through Friday 10am-5pm and Saturday 10am-2pm.

To Register a boat you must have:
12-character hull identification number for boats manufactured on or after November 1, 1972 
Ohio Boat number (renewals and transfers only) 
Acceptable Identification
Date of Birth
Verification for any changes in boat description
Registration fee
 

To Renew a boat registration, you must have:
Any type of hull identification number for boats manufactured before November 1, 1972

To Register a new boat or transfer ownership:

Titled boats must also have:

An Ohio title with a 12 character Hull Identification number
 
Non-Titled boats must have one of these: (all Canoes and Kayaks)
MSO (including the customer's name, make of boat, hull identification number, owner's name, year of boat, length of boat, and date of purchase)
Bill of sale from a store or casual sale (including the make of boat, hull identification number, owner's name, year of boat, length of boat, and date of purchase)
Sales (including the make of boat, hull identification number, owner's name, year of boat, length of boat, and date of  purchase)
Completed and signed transfers of ownership section located on the back of previous owners registration

If you do not have a 12- character hull identification number the boat may require an inspection from your local division of watercraft office. www.ohiodnr.com
